EOE Lore
The Imperator of Caput Mundi started a war with the tribes to regain his lost lands that used to belong to the imperium and soon this war would be know as the Great Capere, meaning the “taking over” or “taking possession of”. The Imperator has sent out 2 of his legions, Legion VI Lupus and Legion IX Sanguis beyond his borders to to make contact with the tribes and search for his lost legions.
The imperator has been gathering up his lost legions as the tribes feuded as they always have. Most of the legions have been so few that they have been scattered across the lands just trying to survive. But with the help of the IX legion that is still at relatively full strength is gathering up and rebuilding the legions in the name of the imperator. Some legions like the VI legion have been living in the mountains, surviving off of hunting after they were almost wiped out by an ambush by the Nertros tribe, found by the IX legion and given new recruits but not fully trusted due to the fact they have become more tribe like. The Lupus legion are still 100% loyal the the imperator
The tribes who once ruled over the Jura mountains before the imperium took power, have now forgotten that they once were a great empire themselves but now scattered as tribes fighting each other over disputed lands are now finally uniting to stop the imperium from rebuilding their full strength and retaking their lost land from an empire that’s near forgotten. During the last annual Thing the tribe leaders were hesitant to unite after years of fighting g over land, resources and long forgotten family grievances. The Brandez tribe (who hale from Bavaria) and Nertos tribes (who hale from Treba) have decided to join forces agist the Legions encroaching on their land. Still attempting to retch out and convince other tribes to join forces.

Sanguis: meaning blood
Their motto“Veni, Vidi, Vici”: meaning I came, I saw I conquered.
The Sanguis Legion is heavily inspired by early imperial legionary. They often adorn the color red, and paint their scutum shields red and gold. They wear lorica segmentata, lorica hamata and imperial Gallic helmet. Their Aquilifer will adorn a Bear head dress.

Lupus: meaning wolf
Their motto“Gaudium Venandi”: meaning the joy of the hunt.
The Lupus Legion is heavily inspired by early imperial legionary. They often adorn the color Blue, and paint their scutum shields Blue and gold. They wear lorica segmentata, lorica hamata and imperial Gallic helmet. Their Aquilifer will adorn a wolf head dress.
Brandez Tribe

Brandaz- an ancient Germanic term meaning, destructive fire. (Root word “brand” and “brimstone.”
The Brandez tribe is heavily inspired by the ancient Germanic and Gothic tribes, and has been influenced by the Roman’s. This tribe often adorn more solid, brightly colored faboric and is more heavily armored. They march into battle adorning Lorica hamata, woven leather chest piece, leather sewn laminar chest piece, leather Brigandine,scale mail and Late-Roman Cavalry Helmets. Their weapons include round shields, long & short swords, spears, Dane axe, slingslong bows & recurve bows.
Nertos Tribe
Nertos Tribe
Nertos: a gaulish term meaning force, strength or power. (Celtic root for “strong” or “power.”
The Nertos Tribe is heavily inspired by Celtic Gaul tribes. This tribe is a bit more barbarian. The Nertos tribe often wear plaid fabric and often decorates their body with blue face and body paint in Celtic knot patterns. Often decorating themselves in Celtic knots and Celtic swirls. The Nertos battle adorning round bronze or leather chest pieces, berserker belts, Celtic helmet type Alesia and Celtic Montefortino helmet- Deepeeka. They are known for dual wielding and carrying oval shields, bukler sheilds, one handed axes, long & short swords, spears, slings long bows and recurve bows.
Healers For The Legions
The healers for the Legion factions during Echos of Eternity.
Name Apothecaries:
These healer will mainly wear purple with accents of yellow and gold
during the duration of the battles to be easily spotted on the battle field. Often adorning roman laurel wreath on their head and other gold accessories in their hair, they are also seen carrying a leather or canvas bag and a roman laurel wreath on their head. These healers will be able to heal anyone from a Legion faction.
When a warrior has died in battle they will seek out a healer who will wrap a piece of cloth around their arm. The warrior will resume battle and when the die agin, they will head back to the respond point to give the cloth back, have a sip of water and resume battle.

Name: Druids
As the name suggests, they are heavily influenced by druids, with a little bit of whimsy and fantasy. They wear white with brown and green accents Sometimes wearing head dresses with antlers and deer hides.
Even though they are non combate, they carry sickles to collect herbs with. They may adorn white face paint. These healers are apart of the Tribe factions and are allowed to heal any warrior from a tribe faction.

Gladiatorial Arena
We are excited to announce we are adding gladiators to Echoes of Eternity! It will not be a faction but rather a player can join the gladiator games. We will have kit rules for gladiators and special rules for them. Any faction can join the arena.
